I provide a queer-affirmative and accepting space with an
emphasis on understanding intersectionalities – of being queer and also being an immigrant, a person of colour, a woman, or someone from a lower socio-economic background.
For seven years, I've worked with the queer community, supporting teens and young adults at various stages of their journeys. The challenges queer folks face include internalised homophobia or transphobia, coming out to oneself and loved ones, self-acceptance, and exploring sexuality. Many grapple with hiding their true identity, facing loneliness, safety concerns, fear of rejection, and the risk of homelessness or higher suicide rates. Additionally, navigating cultural and religious beliefs and seeking acceptance within both the queer and heteronormative communities can be daunting.
I'm here to help you cultivate the tools to navigate these complex experiences.
